The Green Building Network was initiated by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources and is now administered and supported by the Green Building Institute. The Network (GBN) is an ad-hoc, informal group of architects, builders, contractors, developers, planners, landscape architects, related professionals and interested individuals. With more than 3,000 members, the GBN focuses on promoting and facilitating design and development in a manner consistent with efficient and appropriate use of natural resources, environmental protection, and the promotion of sustainable communities.

The GBN provides opportunities to meet, share information, and highlight green building/green development projects throughout Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay Region. The GBN also provides assistance in identifying and implementing outreach and educational opportunities.

The general public is always warmly invited to GBN meetings. They are held on the first Tuesday of every month, except for holidays, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at the Enviro Center. GBN meetings and activities will be announced through GBI e-newsletters and on the GBI web site. To be added to the e-mail list please click here.
