Youth ECo Meetings: 

April 3rd - 1st Tuesday networking focused on the River Hill Rain Garden 6:30-8:30pm and how to get one at your home, office and/or school!  Meeting is at the ENVIRO CENTER.

April 10th - 7:00-8:30pm Youth ECo Leadership and volunteer / party planning meeting, open invite for those interested in some way!

April 14th - Group planting at the River Hill 2,000 sq.ft. rain garden from 8:30am - 5:00pm, Open invite for other schools & community.

April 20th - BIG RAIN GARDEN CELEBRATION!  River Hill High School 3:00 - 5:00pm

2012 Course Offerings are in final development.

There are course offerings in the works for Permaculture, NABCEP, BPI, LEED, Organic Gardening, Sustainable Building w/AIA credits, and more.  GBI also does custom training and partners with other organizations to bring the most cutting edge training available. 

The Green Building Institute offers classes in several locations throughout Maryland and the metro DC and Baltimore areas. The BPI and Permaculture courses listed below from 2011 are being scheduled for the current year:

Course Summary – The 40 hour hands-on training prepares students to be competent designers,     installers and troubleshooters of solar thermal systems, including solar water heating, solar pool heating and solar space heating.  The syllabus follows the Task Analysis for the National American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) installer certification.  For more information about the Task Analysis, go to:http://www.nabcep.org/certification/solar-thermal-installer-certifican                                                                                

The instructor, Jeff Gilbert is President of Azimuth Solar Training LLC, a leading mid-Atlantic renewable energy   training provider and program developer.  He brings over 17 years of industry experience designing, installing   and maintaining solar thermal systems and has passed the NABCEP installer exam for solar thermal systems.

CLASS & SEMINAR CANCELLATION POLICY

If you cannot attend a class you have registered and paid for, you may transfer your registration to another individual. Substitute registrants are welcome and may be named at any time but you must contact us to authorize the transfer of your registration.

If you do not wish to transfer your registration, if you cancel six or more business days prior to the class, you will receive a full refund, less a 3% service charge per attendee.

If you cancel within five business days, you are not entitled to a cash refund. However, as a courtesy, we will allow you to apply your payment toward a future class or seminar within one year from the date you cancel. Your payment is transferable.

Please note that if you do not attend and you do not contact us to cancel as described above, you are responsible for the entire payment.
