Introduction to Geothermal Energy Systems
Geothermal heating has been used for centuries to heat buildings by using sources of hot water and steam that lie underground. A renewable energy source, geothermal heating systems are increasingly a choice for both homes and businesses that are concerned about the environmental impact of traditional energy sources, as well as rising energy costs. This class provides a basic overview of geothermal energy systems. About the Instructor Tatyana Shine, Vice President of Energy Services, is a Professional Engineer, Certified Energy Manager, Certified Geothermal Designer, LEED ® Accredited Professional, and Certified Sustainable Development Professional. She has worked on numerous projects including schools and colleges, government, community and commercial buildings.
