Thanks to a grant from BGE and the Roswell Foundation, the Green Building Institute is holding a free class for income qualified Baltimore City Residents.* 

 

Bring a working incandescent bulb to the class and receive a free compact fluorescent bulb in return.

About the program

·    Are utilities taking a growing bite out of your budget?

·    Are you concerned about the environment and global warming?

·    Have indoor air quality and toxic household chemicals become part of your safety and health concerns?  

·    Do you want to reduce your energy use?            

To qualify you MUST be a Baltimore City resident with annual income of less than $35,000 (individuals) or $60,000 (families).  Registration is REQUIRED and space is limited so send in your application now.  Download application form here and mail to

How can I get to the location?

The number 15 bus runs right past the building, with the closest stop being at Belair Rd. and Chesterfield Ave.  The Herring Run Watershed Center is just 2 blocks south at Belair Rd. and Pelham Ave.

 

I'm interested in the program, but don't live in Baltimore City. Can I still come?

This program is supported by a grant from BGE and the Roswell Foundation and is for Baltimore City residents only.  Please check our website www.greenbuildinginstitute.org for other classes that you could sign up for.

My registration has been accepted. What should I bring?

Paper or notebook, pencils/pens, water bottle, snacks and your questions.

Why do I have to provide my contact info?

As this program is supported through a grant, the Green Building Institute must show that we served our intended audience. We also follow up with you to gauge what you learned in the program, and which techniques you have applied in your home.
